Residents are always telling us they appreciate having a variety of sources so they can be more aware and informed about the place they live. This information is absolutely necessary so they can make the best, most informed choices for their families and their property.

We make this easy for you: We work in a step-by-step system with you until completion – we offer many suggestions and formats to help you with a design that is best suited for your local government so that you can effectively communicate with your citizens. We have four (4) sizes of Directory pages and two (2) sizes of Maps either in horizontal or vertical format for you to choose from.

FIRST: Please sign and return your agreement form. We can then make a determination for the size and format designation.

SECOND: You will receive a checklist of items in the mail that we need for you to complete and return to us in order to begin organizing your information for solicitation.

And let’s get started! Here are the 4 steps:

Step 1 – solicitation of sponsors. A PRINT representative starts with your provided business contact list and works with your companies, businesses, and professionals to gain their participation. They buy an advertising space around the border of the map to become an ad sponsor – because cooperative advertising is how our Directory and Map is funded. Sponsoring businesses participate with their advertising dollars —- therefore ZERO COST to the municipality – NO TAX DOLLARS are being used!

Step 2 – the first map hard-copy proof is designed for your review and sign-off. We ask for digital map files done by your municipal engineer or by County GIS, thereby using a variety of sources for map data to develop a current, useful, and resident-friendly map. A large suggested points of interest list is provided that you may want to include on your map. You will receive at least three (3) hard-copy proofs of the map by mail as we develop it to suit your needs. It will be in full color and in the size that it will be printed in your Directory.

Step 3 – the first pages and photos hard-copy proof is designed for your review and sign-off. It is your choice to decide and then to provide your municipal content and photos – information that you believe your residents will find informative and useful. We provide suggestions and guidelines on how to make this an easy process for you.

1) You will want to make an outline for yourself and list topics to include in your Directory pages and decide on photos that you will need to take to be included that coordinate with your content. An extensive list of ideas and suggestions is provided.

2) We send you a pack of other municipalities to be used as samples because we have found that by looking at others, it helps you determine what you may want to include – let’s get your creative juices flowing! You will receive at least two (2) hard-copy proofs of your pages – they will be a laser proof to match the size of your printed piece and in full color.

3) All proofs are done by hard-copy and mailed, so they can be passed around in your office to be studied for errors and additions that need to be made before printing. Changes need to be written and marked on the hard-copy proof and returned by mail so we can make your changes and set-up for another proof. Once all is satisfactory and sign-off is complete, only then are we ready for printing!

Step 4 – distribution. We use a mailing service to mail your PRINT Municipal Directory and Map to all the addresses in your municipality. All mailing and shipping costs are included, again, at NO COST to you. We accept your mailing list by email. Pieces to be mailed go directly to the mailing service from our printer. Your extra copies for hand distribution are shipped directly to your municipal address.
